Being Happy.

10.10.10  - we went to the Pride Parade in Atlanta.

I believe in happiness. For me, that's what it comes down to.
I recognize that I don't know or understand the world completely.
I don't claim to know whether something is natural or not.
I don't think I'm supposed to.
I don't think it matters if I believe in one lifetime or seven lifetimes.
I do believe in being happy in the one lifetime we have right now.
I believe in kindness, compassion, respect, peace, and love.
Who are we, as humans, to say who does or doesn't have the right to be happy? To receive kindness, compassion, respect, peace, and love?
I don't claim to know what it feels like to be outsider in that way.
And I am not here to preach. Just putting in my two cents.
So here they are:
Be happy and proud of where you've come from and who you are.
This world wouldn't be what it is without each and every one of us.
Let's just try and make it a little bit better than what it was yesterday.
Because, really, that's all we can do. Right?
