I am not sure if I've ever mentioned this or not, but I happen to have the most amazing parents. Ever. No questions asked. They are amazing for innumerable reasons. But I won't start a list.
That being said, my twenty first year on the earth ended on the thirteenth of September. But since I couldn't go home to celebrate the beginning of a new year with them, they came and surprised me instead. AND THEY BOUGHT ME A CAKE, which probably had the perfect amount of sweetness to it.
